Do you ever just lay there in bed, tossing and turning, too much on your mind to fall asleep? Well if so, this one’s for you…
No matter how hard I try, some nights I cannot fall asleep. I’ve tried melatonin, waking up earlier the next day, exercising to make myself wore out…nothing works. Regardless of how much sleep I didn’t get that night, I still have to wake up the next morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to go to work.
I know it’s because of stress… they do say it’s the silent killer. And you can dwell on that, maybe even stress yourself out a little more. Or you could try to take a step back, and look at all the amazing things you have going on in life right now. For example, I try to remember- Jordon and I have a beautiful home, in an awesome neighborhood, and we couldn’t be happier about the recent move. My career is starting to take off in the right direction. We have amazing family and friends, who are doing a fantastic job helping with the wedding, SO grateful for that! And our fur babies are as healthy as can be.
Life can be a load of bull-sh*t sometimes, so it’s up to us to make the consciences decision to remind ourselves… “we really don’t have it THAT bad”. I mean, I’m sure we could have it a lot worse.
My advice to you is, just sit down with a cold beer (if your 21+… duh), cuddle up with your loved ones, put on a funny movie, and just relax for a little while. It’s okay to not worry about every little thing, at every waking moment of the day. Take a breather, I’m sure no one deserves it more than you do.
